Seeking purity in restriction,

Is rather like someone who,

Despising defecation,

Vomits everything eaten,

And starving,

Contents in conceited illness.

Stopping all six:

Sight,

Sound,

Scent,

Taste,

Touch,

Thought,

Just what is it?

Striving for stillness,

Is only aversion.

Grasping play,

Is only attachment.

Not seeing nature,

Is only ignorance.

What a gaff!
